Scanning with Image Capture
Image Capture application is preinstalled on your Macintosh computer and ready to use. To use it with an Epson scanner, do the following:
Make sure the scanner or All-In-One is powered on and connected directly to your Mac via the USB cable.
Open Finder, type in Image Capture and click on it to open the application.
The scanner will now be displayed on the left under DEVICES or SHARED. Click on the name of your Epson product and the below screen appears. Here you can change basic settings such as the scanning mode and the location you would like the scanned file to be saved in.
When your document is ready to scan, click the Scan button to start the scanning process.
If you require more options or want to make adjustments to your scanned image, click on the Show Details button and more advanced settings will be available e.g. Kind (Text, Color or Black & White photo), Resolution, Size, Format, and Image Correction (with an advanced 'Manual' option).
Once the scan has finished your scanned image will be saved in the location selected.
